Well, what is the latest about 1620 chaning formats to Headline News (IndyAirwaves) thinks that a new format change may be coming soon? What is the scoop?

Also, what is the latest on 105.3 and any other new changes. I also read on RadioWatch something about a Chicago station competing with 94.3 FM and the cancelled move of the station city of license to Walkerton? Could someone explain?

I don't know anything about 1620 or 94.3. But the last I heard about 105.3 is that they will be an FM simulcast of WFRN's AM station.

Is 105.3 on the air yet? I think with 165 watts and 404 feet, they might get out more than a few miles.

105.3 FM Coverage: http://www.fcc.gov/fcc-bin/FMTV-service-area?x=FX1243275.html
Directional ... with a coverage map showing "best case" (real antennas vary from textbooks).
(Also the blue line is the 60dB. Signals do go further. 105.3 can be heard at Grape Rd in a car.)

Indiana RadioWatch has it as a translator for 1270 ... application pending since early April.
I guess someone finally figgured out why Progressive got a translator on their own FM tower. :)
(I wonder what they will do with the currently silent one purchased from Friends of Christian Radio.)
