"the new sound of 93.3 coast fm"

anyone else heard the liners saying this........ im just wondering what the new sound is sence musically it sounds about the same unless there talkin about the new air talent lol

To me, it sounds like the music has drived towards Hot AC again. Elton John and The Eagles seem to be gone from the playlist.

Music has changed significantly but it takes more than the music to be a hot AC. Listen to Mix98.5 in Boston then Coast and you'll see they're lukewarm at best. I'm curious as to what direction they take the morning show. Maybe south?

That should have been "drifted." I think along with the music change, they should've just changed the name back to "93-3 SNE" or "93-3 WSNE," which is what most people remember them as anyway. Of course, unless they're planning on putting some more local voices on, it probably doesn't really matter anyway.

They're changing the morning show too right? I saw an ad on all access looking for a morning show host for coast fm.

Has it ever occurred to them that if they want "family friendly" that they should hire people with families? This business is full of single middle aged men who are supposed to know what females want.

Clear Channel has spent millions of dollars in research to determine what women want: men who are unemployed 2 out of every 5 years.

I checked and WSNE is now reporting to Mediabase and BDS as a Hot AC again. Question related to that: do the radio stations themselves contact Mediabase and BDS to tell them they're a different format, or is it up to Mediabase and BDS to determine what a station's format is themselves?
