The NLCS/ALCS - are they on radio in *your* town?

Where I live, I will have no trouble hearing Phightins/LADdie-boys on WCAU-1210, or Bombers/Haloes on WCBS-880, but for those who can't get the participating teams' own radio affiliates, are you going to be "shut out" unless you can get near a telly tuned to TBS/FOX?

In *my* town, Bakersfield CA. I get LA/phi just fine on local Dodger affiliate 1560 KNZR. I get NY/ana on local Angel/ESPN affiliate 1230 KGEO, but they left yesterdays game in the 6th for local minor league hockey :(

In Boston ESPN has WEEI carrying ALCS and it looks like NLCS in most cases (but not Fri) are on WWZN. Some NYC, Hartford, Philly stations come in

Most of the 24/7 or mostly 24/7 ESPN affils are carrying the LCS' as they're being fed on the main channel, preempting regular programming

Do'h! Philly's 1210 ceased being WCAU nearly 20 years ago and I *STILL* think of it as that. :-[ CBS should NEVER have separated "WCAU" from its Philly AM frequency, as I grew up with that combo. But that's another thread.

By affiliate, I don't just mean the flagships but other affiliates around the teams' networks (in the Phillies' case, stations like WDEL-1150 Wilmington or WEEU-830 Reading), which I assume would use the teams announcers rather than ESPN's. So Bakersfield's Dodger and Angel affiliates don't count if they use the Dodgers' or Angels' voices.

Are any Phillies, Dodgers, Angels or Yankees network affiliates NOT carrying the LCS?

why would they not? it's the LCS and it'd be breaking contract if they didn't

In the case of KTAR Phoenix, their local contracts (which are with all Phoenix teams other than the Coyotes) take precedence over any ESPN programming, with the Suns being the top dog. They also do not put the weekday afternoon games on since Gambo & Ash also have priority over all things ESPN.

Outside of Colin Cowherd, ESPN Radio is strictly overnight/weekend filler on 620.

Update: KTAR will carry tonights Phillies/Dodgers game, but is not carrying the Yankees/Angels game going on now.

KFWB Los Angeles is not carrying any of the Angels playoff games. Surprising, as they carried all the weekday games this season, yet are doing nothing during the postseason. Sad.

Melbourne Fl 95.9 is carring some games, But no way to know, If a Gator Game is on Gators will be covered, I expect them to carry Magic Games so that means no Game 1 of the WS.

In Columbus, it's kind of goofy.
Some games are on strictly 1460 AM which is I think in order to meet ESPN obligations, but really a waste outside of that. If Monday Night Football is on it takes the FM slot which means you can't hear the games basically 6-8 miles from the transmitter. I'm curious to see what they are going to do tonight when Sunday Night Football as well as the ALCS are on.

NFL games are carried on Westwood One, not ESPN Radio. If you have separate affiliates for those networks, you'll probably get both games.

Here in Phoenix, I'm not sure what KTAR will do with their AM since the Cards/Giants game will be on FM 92.3. On Sunday afternoons, if there's no Suns/Diamondbacks/ASU conflict, both 620 and 92.3 carry the Cards. There is none tonight, but that doesn't mean that Bonneville will put the game on the AM.

One story I just heard is that the ALCS game will be on KMVP 860, a station that Bonneville still owns but has been trying to unload for 2 years. It's LMA'ed to some outfit running a Black Gospel format, but is still used on occasion for sports overflow.
