The NYC Radio Column! Put It In The Books! Francesa & Benigno! Kosher Sports?

Put this baby in the books...look for Francesa to pick Joe Benigno as his new partner on 660AM WFAN. Go to the bank with this one. After watching/listening to Joe chat with Big Mike today from 4:40pm to 5:20pm (no 5pm Sports Update) they rolled! Call it the "Milk & Cookies" segment. If you heard it Mike kept on saying milk & cookies. You could see Mike was happy with their rap. I'm 90% sure Joe will get the gig.

I spoke to my Fan insider on Friday morning before Joe tried out on Friday, the mole told me Kim Jones did a good job. But that was before Monday (yesterday). At time of this post I could not get in touch with Mike or Joe.

Did ya hear Francesa poke fun of Benigno because he shows up nine hours before his show?. Funny stuff.

Way to go Joe Pags! Who's Joe Pags? It's Joe Paglairlo, he hails from Long Island, worked at 810AM WGY (Albany, NY). Now he hosts radio programs in Texas. I saw him again the other day on CNN as a guest. Great broadcaster.

I'm lovin' "Kosher Sports with B.D. Dave" on Opie & Anthony (92.3 K-ROCK). The abuse this poor kid (intern) takes. We want more of his zany reports.

How about Famous Amos as a CBS-FM RADIO GREAT? He was fantastic on Jamin' 105.

Speaking about Radio Greats, good job Howard Hoffman on CBS-FM on October 4th. Enjoyed the aircheck on the CBS-FM Website.

My mole at CBS-FM confirms they get ratings data on the quick side because of the new ratings system. The don't get it the next day, but in a few days. So when a jock does a Radio Great shift they know how the jock did in a few days.

Move over Giuseppe Franco & Procede. My new favorite TV pitchman is Vince from Shamwow. Them Germans make good stuff!

If you have some time today visit Youtube. Check out Kid Kelly - Part III. See former Z-100 Operations Director Steve "Stud Kingston" at the board. I had the chance to visit the Nuthut back in 1987 (?). Scott Shannon, Jack Murphy, Ray Parker, Jr. and the Z Crew.
