"The Price is Right " to be shown Twice, Starting September 20th.

Price is Right with Bob Barker and Johnny Olsen was one of a kind. That is when Game shows were the hottest thing on Television! Then Rod Roddy joined in and became a favorite. People still accepted the show and it was as big as ever. But around 2000 things started falling apart. All the original models had been fired and things started changing. After Rod Roddy passed away the show started to lose it's familiarity. Then after Barker left, the show definitely lost it's familiarity. What we have left is something totally new. The music is different, the set is different, the models are different, the host and the announcer are different. The only thing that remains the same are the games and the contestants. The show is still fun, but it's never going to be what it once was. Just like the Tonight Show will never be what it once was when Johnny Carson and Ed McMahon were there. It's still on television every night, but it's not the same thing we grew up with.

Hey, even if you've never liked Price or don't like it with Drew, well I still do. It is still a fun and entertaining show for me to watch and gets my mind off stuff.

By the way, does anyone know whether the reruns in the old time slot for ATWT are going to be episodes with Rich Fields? I assume they'd have to be. Or are they really going to rerun the shows from a few hours earlier? That would be ridiculous.

From what I've read, they're doubling up on new episodes.

Good. That's as it should be.

The original models are probably all in their late 50's to early 60's by now.

Things change. Get over it.

If Bonanza, Happy Days, Love Boat, My Mother the Car, the Fugitive, or any show was still on tv as long as The Price is Right has been, there would be changes to it too. If the producers would rather "go out on top" like Seinfeld, that's all right too.
Changes happen to everything over time. My hair's going gray, I don't have to change my name or do the same things I did when I was 5 either.

I've never been a big TPIR fan, but I'd rather see it than most daytime talk shows, or ANY courtroom shows or infomercials.

This was my 1500th post! ;D
