I liken the payola situation to that of the Steroids issue and Major League Baseball; a practice that's been going on, despite attempts to correct and eliminate it. Many sports pundits said the steroids law would not have any punch or credibility unless a 'heavy hitter' was brought in. This is also the case with the current payola settlements. That all changed when Rafael Palmeiro was caught with an illegal substance. This, despite his heated and passionate testimony denying any use or knowledge.
So, when I see that Michael Sanders has 'exited'.... we may have what the public is looking for....While it's not P-diddy or Jay-Z or Ryan Secreast, it is in the number 1 market in the country.
