He lives??? Oh dear me. I would think he was so out of touch being away from it so long that there would not be much he can say about today's media. If he hires someone good to do his research he might be able to pull it off. Wow, guess he needed some $$$$, but then what money is there at those stations?? Okay, I'm at a loss. ;D
Despite all his hard work on "Fight Back" over the years I think we all know Horowitz will always be remembered for one infamous event in L.A. broadcast history.
...and still waiting for it to show up on YouTube.
Also...
Though I doubt there is video footage I would be interested in viewing coverage of the 1971 Sylmar Earthquake when Horowitz was the lone anchor broadcasting with a flashlight live outside KNBC's studio for a couple hours.
Not to be confused with the conservative commentator of the same name. "Fight Back with David
Horowitz" (TV show) had a feature called "the Horror File". Slogan of DH's show: "Fight back and
don't let ANYBODY rip you off!"
A really nice guy to talk to. I had the pleasure of speaking with him directly after inquiring (via e-mail) about his "Fightback.com" minutes, for a station I work at (from time to time). Good to see he'll be on the L.A. airwaves once again.
...who the "Fight Back!" Horowitz despises. When he guested on Tom Snyder's ABC Radio show 19 years ago, I called in to ask him what his opinion was of his pseudoconservative pundit namesake. Snyder's screener said he didn't want to give the other guy any more publicity than what he was getting on his own, and she further confirmed the good guy Horowitz hated his namesake with a passion as purple as a Prince album cover...
Why? To clash with the whitebread advice and conservative talk lineup? I guess anything at Mt. Wilson is possible, but really...
I'm surprised they even have Leslie Marshall on the weekends. Is that her only affiliate besides WWKB? Probably. And shouldn't they be selling that weekend time?

Besides, the fact that you can't hear KGIL east of the 710 would make that difficult. Yeah, so you've got 540... it doesn't get that far inland, either.
