The Russ Martin Show is no more, it's been rebranded to "The Treehouse"

Today, Dan O'Malley teased a huge announcement at 5 PM regrading the show on his instagram, in fact, during the opening segment, they confirmed that the Russ Martin Show is no more (in terms of the show name) and has been rebranded, while they didn't officially revealed the show's new name in the show's opening segment (a on brand thing with them stalling for time), but it seems the Eagle's website and iHeart.com already has played the spoiler. The show from this point forward will be known as "The Treehouse" aka "The Dan, Alfie & Clo Show"

The name "Treehouse" now sounds outrageously creepy with that knowledge in mind.

Yikes. The PD might want to consider scrapping that name... immediately.

Wasn't some manager-type associated with the Kidd Kraddick show accused of similar crimes about five years ago? Whatever came of that case?
 
the show aired a statement today at 5 PM, they will be off the air for now, but the show will continue, Dan O'Malley read the statement on the air at 5 PM then signed off with Johnny Cash's version of Nine Inch Nails' Hurt.

the statement reads at this:
We are aware of the charges against Clo. We learned about the investigation when we read the news article. We are shocked and disturbed about the allegations. Our hearts and support go out to any possible victims and their families. We will continue to monitor the situation and respond as appropriate.

We appreciate your continued support as we navigate through this. The Treehouse will continue weekdays from 5-7pm with Dan O'Malley and Alfie Coy on 97-1 the EAGLE.

Dan followed it up with his own personal statement from his social media account:
*On a more personal note, I've been doing this show for almost 20 years, and I don't think I've ever needed it more than I do right now. And it's because of you. The show has felt a lot of sadness and pain in the past few years. This is yet another tragedy to get through, and we will get through it.

In life, no matter where you go, what you do, you come back home. This is my home. No matter where I go, what I do, I come back here to this figment, this Treehouse - because you are here. And we will do that together on Monday.
