I had to laugh at a Bleeder & Ken promo on the X. The set-up was about the new edition of the TV show, Rock Star, where they search for a new lead singer for some band. The boys reached for a Milli Vanilli joke!!! WOW! Now, I realize that a great morning show talks about ANY topic, and the idea is to transcend your station's format. But come ON. Milli freakin' Vanilli? A top-40 reference? And not even a CURRENT one? On a rock station? OK, maybe once DURING the show, but over and over and over again on a promo? Groovy. Nothing advertises the fact that your show is hopelessly miscast and/or out of touch than an unfunny Milli Vanilli joke. What's next? Some Sinead O'Connor bald material? A few "Where's the Beef" and "I've fallen and I can't get up" lines? B&K are so cute. They'd KILL on one of Citadel's Top-40 stations. Has anyone checked their ratings with young females?
