The Ten O'Clock News...on WCAX, Channel 3, Burlington

From the WCAX News script web page...

"The Channel 3 News at 10:00 premieres on Monday night on our secondary channel -- Weather 3-point-2. You can find it on Comcast channel 168, Burlington Telecom channel 303 or over the air on Digital 3-point-2 if you have a high definition receiver. It's all the latest news, weather and sports Weekdays at 10:00 on Weather 3-point-2 ... and again at 11:00, right here on Channel 3."
========================================================================

This is an interesting move. With the ever increasing amount of "early risers" nowadays, a ten o'clock cast should be good for WCAX. I wonder if it'll be a recorded repeat at eleven on channel 3, unless a breaking story appears possible?

They are getting ahead and perhaps claiming a stake, for an upcoming debut of a brand new newscast on WFFF-TV "Fox 44" at 10:00 pm. It's a good move on Channel 3's part. Though it would be good for a market like Burlington to have more news competition than Channels 3 and 5. Hopefully Channels 44 and 22 will have a respectable news product if/ when that happens. I thought Channel 22's news product was respectable and watchable in it's last attempt, too bad there was such an uphill battle to wage for already entrenched viewers to the established TV stations.

How many people in Burlington/Plattsburgh have digital TVs? It can't be that many, can it? I presume this newscast is aired on WCAX-DT "3-2"?

Yes it did, but since the news came stright from the news script, the word "point" is spelled out, rather than represented as "." or, for digitals, "-".
