There's only 2 choices for old school AM listeners, 550 and 700. That's not good

I wish I could pick up other options (especially between 3-6pm) but I can't in southern Clermont County. It looks like any HD AM options have withered on the vine.

It's hard enough to figure out my new DishTV box...I refuse to go through the same frustration to listen to Wi-Fi pay for radio!

I take it 1530 doesn't come in well there?

I hear 610 WTVN/Columbus pretty well in Central Indiana...surely they come in better over your way.

Just because a signal is strong in a car radio doesn't mean your clock radio, shower radio, or small portable will get it.

The one boom box type I often use (with a remote) will only pick up those two AM's in a scan. There is no manual tuner.

If y'all are hip enough to radio to post on here, I'd have thought you'd have a decnt radio from C. Crane by now...no tuner? Wow. Hard to imagine. Thirty bucks will get you some really good portable multi-band sensitive receivers.

Actually, that's a good idea.

If I can find a cheap reasonable portable I might get one for under the tree.

Any recommendations?

Obviously you're not hip to c.crane pricing. ;D

Can't get much there for anywhere near $30.

The CC products are great.
Then there are the Sangean radios. Sometimes you can get a deal from C Crane on an "orphan" radio.
J and R music world will have a good deal as well.

I own a CC-Radio, a CC-Radio-SW, a Justice antenna, and have purchased a few radios for other folks via C. Crane, so I'm pretty hip to their pricing policy. I also have a CC-Radio SWP which I carry with me everywhere. This is a quite awesome small portable; very sensitive and has 200 presets. I bought it for $29.95 from their "orphan" section.
