They preempted that for this?

As for the other two markets who can be reached in NH - Portland, ME and Burlington, VT, none of their affiliates are airing coverage.

But WMUR is carried on all cable systems and satellite in NH regardless of DMA...so even though someone may get Burlington locals they can still see WMUR as long as they are in NH

Vermont has a similar law, thanks to Patrick Leahy. Every cable system in the state carries WCAX-TV (CBS) channel 3 of Burlington. For reference, Windham County (i.e. Brattleboro) is the edge of the Boston/Worcester DMA while Bennington County (i.e. Bennington) is in the Albany/Schenectady DMA.

WCAX is even on cable systems on the western New Hampshire side of the Upper Valley, far from Burlington. Not sure how far south or east carriage of WCAX goes in the neighboring state, though. WCAX's cable presence in New York, I'd imagine, is limited to the Plattsburgh area.

KBJR/NBC in Duluth, MN/Superior, WI pre-empted tonight's Wheel of Fortune with a special on open cases of missing and murdered women in the area. As always, WOF was moved to KBJR-DT3 MyTV and paired with common-overnight Byron Allen program MyDestination.TV to replace the hour-long JAG.

satellite carries the Big 4 & PBS from Burlington in those 2 counties alongside their actual DMA locals

all Fox stations tomorrow will preempt regularly schedule programing starting at 4 PM ET/1 PM PT as NASCAR has just postponed the Daytona 500 due to numerous pop up rain showers with a main line of showers/storms heading to Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, FL all night. the race should had been over by now, but they only got about almost 25 laps in. so NASCAR officially postponed it shortly before 7 PM ET.

Had they started the race earlier they might have gotten most of it in before the first mist started. I don't think they started until 3 pm.

FOX 2/17/20

Monday, Starting at 4:00 PM (EST, Subtract 1 hour for Central, 2 for Mountain, 3 for Pacific Etc.) FOX will air the Daytona 500 starting at around lap 20. this is due to a rain delay that pushed the race to Monday the 17th.

This will mean WVUE in NOLA (I'm Using them as an example, Since New Orleans is my Home Market) will lose their 4, 5, and 5:30 Newscasts, And possibly the 6 PM to 6:30 PM block of Syndication, and possibly later depending on how long the race takes.

Sounds like my Fox affiliate could lose its 5:00 newscast then. There is a feature I like to watch that usually airs around 5:25 on Mondays. Though it has been missing a lot lately. The man who does it has a really sick daughter and I'm guessing that's why he hasn't done as many of those.

WNYW New York will lose TMZ Live, an encore of TMZ, and the primary airing of Extra, plus likely Big Bang Theory at 7:30. TMZ and Extra repeat twice each, and TMZ Live repeats at midnight on MyTV sister WWOR, so none of the affected first-run shows will be lost entirely anyway.

FOX has allotted the Daytona 500 coverage to run to 7:30 Eastern.

WSYT in Syracuse, NY was quick to announce their programming changes to accommodate the race. As almost-always when pre-empted by FOX Sports, Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy! move to MyTV sister station WNYS, which bumps two episodes of Big Bang Theory to 10:00 and 10:30 PM, replacing two episodes of Friends. Judge Judy's "A" and "B" runs, both new episodes today, move from the 6:00 hour to the 3:00 hour, replacing the "C" and "D" runs, which are always repeats. One of the two repeats moves to 7:30 to fill time after D500 if it ends before 8:00.

WLUC-DT2 in Marquette, MI (FOX UP) also announced their programming changes. 25 Words or Less x 2, Mike & Molly x 2, and BBT x 2 are all pre-empted entirely. Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune (the latter of which only airs on this station on Mondays; it airs on WLUC/NBC from Tue-Sat) move to 10:30 and 11:00 PM, replacing two episodes of 2 Broke Girls. No word on what show will move to the 7:30 post-race slot. Probably one of the sitcoms.

7:30 ET/6:30 CT FOX programming was pre-empted in full. Daytona 500 went into overtime after a pile-up on Lap 199, and Ryan Newman had a bad rollover crash on the final lap. FOX ultimately signed off at 8:07 PM Eastern (37 minutes late), and 9-1-1: Lone Star and Prodigal Son are delayed by 10 minutes on the East Coast.

KDVR in Denver JIP'd Jeopardy! during the first round with five clues remaining.

The 10-minute primetime delay on FOX carried through to the 10/11:00 newscasts and even the late-night syndies. WNYW began BBT from the beginning at 11:10 PM, same with Modern Family an hour later.

WBFF Baltimore's newscasts ended at 11:45 instead of the usual 11:35, after which a make-good of today's Jeopardy! aired. Even though the Daytona 500 pre-empted both Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune, the latter did not air; Seinfeld aired afterwards instead. More Jeopardy! favoritism from a station that already pre-empts Wheel dozens of times per season as it is thanks to its deadly 7:30 ET slot, either being pre-empted by NFL or MLB pregames, or being immediately after FOX's scheduled end for sporting events which inevitably overrun.

FOX stations got back on track around 1:10-ish. WNYW finished Modern Family then JIP'd Chasing News (encore of local show on sister WWOR), and WXIX in Cincinnati finished HIMYM then JIP'd Friends.

The Democratic Debate on NBC tonight affects syndies in the Pacific Time Zone. Both coasts are airing a repeat of Chicago Med at 8 ET/PT. For 9-11 PM, West NBC's are doing either:
A) 7-8 PM shows move to 9-10, followed by a repeat of Dateline NBC at 10.
or B) 6-8 PM shows move to 9-11, with no NBC primetime shows at all.

Most affiliates that carry NBC Nightly News at 6:30 PT are going with option A, such as KNBC LA. Ones that air it at 5:30 and air local news or additional syndies in the 6 PM hour are mostly going with option B, including having a special local newscast at 9. This includes KHQ Spokane, which is airing their 6-8 lineup of News/Jeopardy!/Jeopardy!/Wheel of Fortune from 9-11 tonight. KNBC and other affiliates' schedules oddly do not show them moving NBC Nightly News to 5:30 or earlier like most non-Eastern stations do with the nightly news shows when pre-empted, although it has an encore just after 2:00 AM anyway.

In Mountain Time, since the debate covers the first two hours of primetime from 7-9, stations can choose a repeat of either Chicago Med or Ellen's Game of Games to air at 9 tonight.

WTVD 11/ABC O&O in Raleigh, NC is airing live winter storm coverage over World News Tonight, and they announced that the coverage will continue until at least 8:00 PM Eastern.

Jeopardy! is moved to WTVD-DT2 Localish (recently changed from Live Well Network), replacing More in Common.

Wheel of Fortune will not be moving to 11.2. Since one of the teams on tonight's episode is local to the area, WTVD is instead opting to delay tonight's episode to tomorrow, and presumably Friday's episode will replace the usual rerun on Saturday.
