Thoughts on ongoing changes at Steel City Media (Pittsburgh, PA and Kansas City)?

Anybody else noticed this with their stations? There has been a lot of layoffs the past few months and especially weeks, with first Thom McGhinty and most of the crew at KC 102.1 in Kansas City, then they axe their Q929 morning show host, then PD Ponch of KMXV Mix 93.3 after that. They also have changed Mix's sound for the better, in that regard. Your thoughts?
