I don't think I'm too far off posing this question in the CHR/Mainstream board, so here goes.
I've heard it said that radio is abandoning young people, that they've already abandoned the medium for TV and the internet. I know Radio Disney is pretty much a marketing arm for The Disney Channel, but with all of the younger music and TV acts that have become popular (obviously High School Musical and Hannah Montana) a few CHRs have smartly added a few songs to their rotation.
Radio Disney stations are mostly on AM, the side of the band for us older fogies who know what 'AM' stands for. But I wonder what impact it might have on young radio listening if they started migrating to FM stations. Could Radio Disney or a format catering to kids and young teens make a difference, or are these listeners (regardless of how many there are) already listening to CHR radio?
