Kentucky Rep. Tim Couch Wants to Ban Anonymous Online Postings
Atlanta, GA 3/10/2008 06:49 PM GMT (FINDITT)
Found this tidbit and thought of all my radio geek buddies who don't use their real names:
Kentucky State Representative Tim Couch (R-Hyden) filed a bill last week to make anonymous posting online illegal.
The bill would require anyone who contributes to a website to register their real name, address and e-mail address with that site.
Their full name would be used anytime a comment is posted.
If the bill becomes law, the website operator would have to pay if someone was allowed to post anonymously on their site. The fine would be $500 for a first offense and $1000 for each offense after that.
[EDIT]
###
Question for TPTB, if this goes into effect (will it affect Q100?) what will the future of Radio-Info be?
