Tim and George (Kiss 107 Morning Show Team) out at CC Cincinnati?

According to their Facebook post...
Tim and My Mom Calls Me George of the top-rated morning show on Kiss107, have decided, voluntarily, not to renew their contract with Clear Channel. Tim and George will be pursuing other opportunities outside of Cincinnati. ‎"Both Tim and I hate to leave Cincinnati, but opportunities have sprung up that we just can't ignore," says George.

"Cincinnati will always be a home to us thanks to the hospitality of everyone we've met. From our co-workers in the Clear Channel building to crazy early morning callers, we've met some amazing people" says George.

"Its incredibly difficult to leave our friends & listeners, or as we like to call them, members of our morning show family. That's exactly why we will be hosting a Thank You bash very soon! We hope everyone will come party with us so we can properly thank them for their support.

Keep checking our Facebook page for details of the event!"

Tim & George expect to be on-air again sometime in April.

"Our moms call us grateful" add Tim & George.

Who are these people?

Never heard of them... then again, I don't really listen to much radio in the morning....

As someone who usually stays far away from Morning Zoo-type radio shows, I did like Tim & My Mom Calls Me George. I remember them guesting on the 3-6 slot on WLW for a day or two after Burbank retired and they demonstrated that they had more than just the minimum talent required for a CHR morning show. I called in to the show but didn't make it on the air before they changed subjects, but they still listened to what I had to say during the break, which surprised me enough that I sent an email to Darryl Parks mentioning their unusual kindness. I had my school bring them in for a career day a few years back and they couldn't have been nicer or more gracious, although they stole the show from the local newspaper editor! ;D

All in all, I wish both of them the best and hope that they succeed in whatever they're going to do next.

Tim and George are a class act. Clear Channel was nuts to let them go. They made that station successful.

Did anyone catch the 96 Rock morning crew begging for Tim & George's listeners? From the 96 Rock Facebook page "a reminder to all of you who have listened to, or have friends that have listened to, tim and 'my mom calls me' george (formerly of kiss) who told overloads to gobble it yesterday to join us early and often each day." Then Fin went on Tim & George's page and offered to let them come on their show and announce to their fans where they are headed next. Desperate times call for desperate measures I guess.

Sounds kinda desperate and why would they want their audience which is mostly female? 96 Rock is mostly male targeted. Are their morning ratings that bad? I admit that I never heard the 96Rock morning show so I don't know how good or bad it is.

I couldn't tell you if it's good or bad, but I don't think ratings are that good for their mornings. I heard a rumor they're bringing Eddie Fingers (formerly of WLW and WEBN) on in the mornings. I know people down there who hope they don't drop Gamble, they say he's the best thing that show has going for it.
