The radio business, specifically talkradio revenue, does not come before the nation---and talkradio aided and abetted the severe rhetoric that has not only divided this country, but put our nearly 250-year-old government in danger of being irreparably corrupted and potentially dismantled. Temporarily prolonging the life of a dying format on a dying band is not worth the damage they have mightily contributed to.

An old news slogan was "IF IT BLEEDS IT LEADS". Commercial Talk Radio (and Fox News, et al...) took that approach to an extreme and dark place. Toxic Gas Bags like Limbaugh generated huge revenue, so "serving the public interest" became irrelevant to local Radio.

I agree with you Talk Radio deserves a lot of blame for the current political climate. The internet then came along and websites poured petrol on the inferno. The Radio executives who got rich won't be around for the Fire Sale, so they don't care about any societal damage. If they cared, they would have taken a stand against that type of Programming long ago...

Tim Wenger did Magic 102s traffic Copter years ago when Larry Levite still held the reins of WMJQ and WBEN! So yes he has been around since at least 1988-89! With Rob Lucas gone and Roger Christian being let go 5 years ago he is the lone veteran left. That’s what makes the butchering of 102.5 that much sadder. Since that’s where most the long time employees in the group came from. Even Sandy Beach somewhat although he left WMJQ and then came back to WBEN. And yes I didn’t forget Janet Snyder and Sue O’Neil who are both from the Kiss side. Sue began her career in Buffalo on Kiss 98.5 in 1992 or 93
