Time-Warner Cable T.V. FAILS to put on WGHP-TV 8.2 as promised!

In ads and press releases Time-Warner Cable T.V. had promised to carry WGHP-TV 8.2/Antenna TV Network. It is STILL not on the lineup? What is the problem? They had WEEKS to prepare for this! Time-Warner Cable is SO slack!

They have been attempting to develop an oldies channel and putting the 8.2 channel on has been low on their "to do list". Go after them goodtimes, sell all of your time-warner stock & cancel your cable service! Tell em you're mad as hell and you're not going to take it any more.
 
Readers tell me TWC has added Antenna TV (WJW 8.2 here) on digital cable channel 988. (!!)

It's also on QAM 8.2 for those so connected, but you need to rescan your tuner if you're getting locals in digital that way.

In the Triad, check up in the nosebleed section of the digital cable lineup...maybe it's there already.

You had a flyer and everything! Whatever happened to promises?
We were joining you in depending on this channel addition for our happiness and well-being, and we definitely do not want to wait beyond the promised time for this free service!
How could they mislead us like this? ??? ???
You're right! FAILS should definitely be in ALL CAPS. Heads should ROLL.
 
Time-Warner had promised to put Tv 8.2 on Channel 126. It is still not there...... Time-Warner continues to increase fees and doesn`t produce promised channels.........
 
Went down to my QAM-equipped no-box TV, and 8.2 was there already, without a rescan. Maybe because it is on the same QAM channel as 8.1, and that was already scanned in.

Of course, that's WJW 8.2, not WGHP 8.2. I'm wondering if those with QAM tuners in the Triad will get WGHP's 8.2...does TWC in the area put PSIP on QAM locals?
 
WGHP-TV 8 has now said that Time-Warner Cable TV has promised to have the channel on the lineup this Friday. Still no explanation about the delay....

...and if it isn't? What will you do, GTGO? Do you have anyone nearby who can videotape your reaction if it isn't there?

I know that in my area..(Akron-Canton, Ohio, Cleveland Market) Time Warner had local notices for all the area newspapers that they publish online as well..They said that Antenna TV would be added ON or AFTER January 2nd, 2011..They added it here yesterday..The explanation for your area would be..They arent ready and wont be till at least Friday..
 
I also think you're taking that whole "promise" thing a little too hard, GTaGO.
Did WGHP "promise" to put on 8.2? Or were they just expressing their plans and expectations?
A promise is waaay deeper than most businesses will go.
If you can get WGHP or anyone you contact there to pinkyswear with you, though, you're golden. I hear that's inviolable, and you can sue!
If you have a flyer where they promised to do it, I don't even think that would help your cause.

Take a poll here about Customer Satisifaction with Time-Warner Cable.... They aren`t very popular. They keep increasing rates and chopping channels. I still can`t understand why they didn`t have the channel ready to go on the lineup when they had weeks to prepare????
 
That post makes NO sense... But, isn`t that the standard way of thinking at the cable company??? For example, one schedules service at ones domicle. The cable company says "We will be there sometime from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM"-LOL!!! Now, that IS good customer service??? "On or after" Jan. 2 could be 12/12/2014!!!!!!! Give me a BREAK! By the way, the aticles that I read implied that the channel would be added when it hit the air. It had NO other date listed, which implied such! The same article stated that another cable system would be adding it on Jan .3. It is just another example of Time-warner Cable being wishy-washy!!! I would LOVE to see real people come on here and DEFEND Time-Warner Cable overall! Most folks around here HATE them, for a wide variety of solid reasons!!!
 
I don't like TWC worth a flip either, but I live in an urban area where I cannot get a sight on the "bird" for Dish Net, so I'm sorta stuck! In regards to 8-2, I could care less if they ever put it on.. Most of those shows stunk the first time around!

If they didn't "promise" any of those things, you can't hold them accountable.
That's the way, uh huh uh huh.
