TMZ is reporting that Full House star Bob Saget has died at 65

I know people often accuse TMZ of being unreliable, but they are usually very fast and accurate when it comes to this; they are reporting that Bob Saget, who portrayed Danny Tanner on ABC's Full House, has died. He was only 65 years old. Rest in peace.

Yahoo and other sources now reporting as well. According to 1 source, he was found dead inside his hotel room at the Ritz Carlton in Orlando, FL:

Regarding TMZ breaking the story first and earlier than anyone else, as someone mentioned when Betty White passed, TMZ also broke the news about Michael Jackson first, and they tend to break stuff like this faster, possibly because they're more inclined to get the story out their first, and then go back and thoroughly fact check and get details later.

I am shocked. May God comfort his family and friends. The last week has been brutal for celebrity deaths. This continues to prove that theory.
Has there ever been a period where we've lost this many high-profile stars in such a short period? Madden, Betty White, Sidney Poitier, and now the former host of AFHV and Full House star?
The Olsen twins are probably heartbroken right now.

RIP

Apparently prior to Bob Saget's death he was also involved with addressing the Scleroderma issue while he was with Full House the reboot edition. Initially he was involved with this foundation to mourn his sister's death/legacy. Note for now this is not directly tied to Saget's death until proven otherwise.

Oddly, my (former) local CBS station (WWTV 9/10) sent out an alert with this news about 8pm, before other news sites had this up (including CBS News).

He had just performed two comedy shows in Florida this weekend (in Orlando and Jacksonville)

Dang I never knew Bob Saget was an extra on Perfect Strangers back in 1986 just for the intro. See :32 of this clip the guy in the Sunglasses. Had no idea Bob Saget's his pre-Full House/Pre-AFV was an extra to play a background character surrounding Balki and Larry before Lorimar Television and Miller-Boyett management got Bob Saget to Full House.

Yes, with celebrity deaths TMZ is usually fast and accurate. I learned of Michael Jackso and Farrah Fawcett's passing there first. Other than the Tom Petty "he's dead he's not dead" which wasn't their fault, I haven't known them to be wrong. Other content, I have no idea.

Because the death seems completely unexpected by his friends he'll have an autopsy which will likely have an answer (other than natural causes). Sorry to F&F.

I didn't know that & I've seen a bunch of episodes of Full House & Perfect Strangers & have seen that intro.

Fans of "AFV" learned this druing the show. The news anchor interrupted the show just as Alfonso was about to announce the winner. Even as long as it took for the news to be reported, the show seemed to have continued from just after the announcement, when it ws obvious who won, because a lot more should have happened.

I'm curious as to how they'll handle next week's show.

Although it was Uncle Jesse and Joey that I liked, I did watch "Full House" and liked him there too.

He did another series called "Raising Dad" where he was father to Kat Dennings who, believe it or not, was born the very same day as the Olsens. She was the reason I watched the filthy but very funy "2 Broke Girls".

Someone mentioned "How I Met Your Mother". I didn't watch that show except the finale and maybe one or two other episodes but he was the narrator.

And here is the last post Bob Sagets production crew tweeted with him alive. 😣
He died doing what he loved. He did two hours and didn't even know it, because that was what he loved. Comedy was his expertise. Mr. Saget loved making people laugh, whether on TV, through those funny home videos, or in stand-up.
Honestly, Heaven gained a beautiful soul last night. That Billy Joel song, 'Only the Good Die Young,' sadly prevails in this circumstance. I wonder if the concert venue had a camera crew for the big screens (if any)? I wonder if there will be footage released of his final shows in Jacksonville and Orlando.
It still shocks me. A world without Bob Saget (and Betty, and Sidney, and Madden) is a sad world indeed. :(

He was Jessica's dad in the comedy Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd which was filmed here in Atlanta on the campus of what used to be the high school where I graduated in 1975. It's Atlanta International now.

It took me a while to realize I was watching a rerun, but Alfonso introduced some clips including an interview by Tom Bergeron from about 10 years ago, and then the episode started because all Bob wanted more than anything else was to make people laugh. After I realized they kept showing videos I had seen for some reason (I figured if they needed to condense the episode those should have been the first to go) I looked at the listing to see when it first aired.

I might have missed recording the episode except for the fact I never got around to saying don't record reruns on a new TiVo.
