Well, the much awaited return of The Nashville Network launches tomorrow, Nov. 1, with WSMV's new 4.2 as flagship, now that Luken and Jim Owens have wrestled the branding away from MTV Networks and returned it home where it belongs. And like some broadcast outlets, they're bringing live radio to the airwaves to populate mornings. So to which legendary Nashville Morning Radio Show are they turning for their morning airwaves? Well, let's see... over at WSIX there's House... no he's gone... there's WSM-FM, KDF, or WSM-AM... no, not really enough there for TV... Woody & Jim... no they're on a rock station... there's a big morning show on the sports station... no sports are well-covered on TV... the Christian stations?... no, they're covered on TV in various versions.
So where can we find a morning radio show to bring to television? In that Nashville suburb of Birmingham, of course. Rick 'n' Bubba! They're on a country station and they've even had their radio show on TV before!
SO SAD THERE"S NO REALLY ENTERTAINING SHOW ON NASHVILLE MORNING RADIO THAT CAN REPRESENT NASHVILLE!!!!!! Really says something about the state of country radio in this city.
