Todd Manley out as WGN Radio station manager and vice president of content

Nexstar Media Group less then 24 hours after acquiring WGN radio has fired Todd Manley as the station manager and vice president of content, Todd Manley had been at the helm of programming since 2013. Robert Feder has the story as his opening story in his Robservations https://www.robertfeder.com/2019/09...-one-nexstar-ousts-wgn-radio-station-manager/ . Somebody had to take the fall since the last survey of radio reports that WGN Radio came in 16th in mornings, midday, afternoon, and evenings. He also reported news and operations director Mary Sandberg Boyle as the interim boss. Last Friday in a meeting with staffers Robert Feder has also reported that new executive vice president Sean Compton hinted that more changes are to come, and who will be next? Somebody else in management, will it be anybody that is a radio host, if so which ones, and who will they fill out their slot with either on an interim basis or on a regular basis? WGN Radio has also been with a regular host for the 10 PM to 1 AM slot Monday night thru Saturday morning slot, since they fired Patti Vasquez as host of that slot, that starts early if WGN Radio doesn't have a sports broadcast that night. Which would me mainly Chicago White Sox baseball, or Chicago Blackhawks hockey.

cash cow?

Lets expect low ranking WGN to become a cash cow until its sale. The likelihood of it retaining its format are nil.
