I was blown away last evening at how many Maine and N.H.stations I was getting on my truck radio last night. WHEB, WPOR, WABK, as a few examples.I am in Kingston ,Ma. Not our usual radio fare. It was fun.

To clarify, Kingston, MA is by Plymouth, well southeast from Boston on Cape Cod Bay (and Plymouth Bay!).

By the way, were you able to get WBLM-FM 102.9 of Portland? They've got a 100,000 watt signal and their transmitter is in Raymond, ME.

It was funny, I get the "Blimp" from time to time. It did not come in at all this night.
______________
It's not the size of the tower.....
It's how you use it.

I'm in Hanson, 2 towns over from Kingston. I had WBLM and MANY other stations from Maine that night. I even heard 95.9 WRED on my portable DX-398. I wasn't able to null WATD on my big DX setup (APS-13 antenna, Yamaha T-80 tuner).

I was able to catch 92.9 WEZQ and 94.5 WKSQ from the Bangor area over the Boston locals.

WRED-FM 95.9 is licensed to Saco, ME. I think their transmitter is in or near Biddeford, ME.

WRED is on the WCYY tower on route 1 in Saco.

I figured as much since their signal is strongest on my Sony Walkman while on I-95 between Biddeford Exit 32 and Saco Exit 36 (the Saco River area).
