AETN regains full power signal in Central Arkansas June 12. Delay in DTV transition from February to June causes AETN to pull analog channel 2 off the air to install the antenna for KETS-DT on RF channel 7 on the KASN tower at Redfield. However, it also had to silence and remove its temporary digital transmitter/antenna on RF channel 5 in order to not overload the tower. Meanwhile KATV remained on the air on analog 7 until June 12 further complicating matters.
DTV transition occurs but delayed to June 12. KVTN is first to silence analog transmissions in February, followed by KARK. KTHV serves as last full power analog to shutdown since THV aired a "Analog Nightlight" service for two weeks following June 12
"Channel 42" purchased from Equity Media by Nexstar and flips callsigns from KWBF to KARZ and gets instant respectability with a 7pm newscast, storm graphics, and cross-promotion from KARK. Also the digital signal of KARZ is stronger than the former analog channel 42.

Old favorites Oprah, Jeopardy, and Wheel Of Fortune while produced in HD are still shown locally in SDTV. KATV can finally show delayed ABC programming in HDTV (such as Nightline, and Jimmy Kimmel Live)
