Total of Digital TV Stations in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex

I did a rescan because of the KBOP-LP fiasco and found out there are a total of 65 stations (counting the low powers) in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. Is this just me or are you guys getting the same amount?

Not counting KXII, I show 72 subchannels. There are a number of duplicates, though:
  • 44-1, 44-2, 50-3, 55-1, and 55-2
  • 49-1 and 49-2
  • 52-1 and 52-2

And there are several showing only color bars:

20-1, 38-2, 38-3, and 38-4

Counting each duplicated channel only once, and not counting the color bars, leaves a net of 62.

Whoops, more I forgot:
  • RF 11 and RF 19 are the same signal (11-1)
  • 18-2 is just a "coming soon" slide show for now

Eliminating those brings the net count down to 60. Also, 29-2 and 39-2 aren't simulcasts, but they look pretty much the same to me, so one could reasonably argue the count is actually 59.

AAUGH! Missed one more!

18-1 and 18-3 are the same, so the net count is 59 (or 58 if you consider 29-2 and 39-2 duplicates as well).

Thats 13 (or 14) subchannels in the DFW market potentially available for new programming.
