TPiR tapes "All-Plinko" episode; to air on 9/27

Most popular show. Most popular game. The only thing going down will be those Plinko chips as the audience cheers for cash! Virtually an all cash giveway show. This will be great! I was at the show in January and the excitement in that studio is outrageous. What you see on the air is only the half of it. Once they cut to commercial and you see the winning contestants crying in the ailes from happiness, it really is a great feeling just to be in that room.

This is just one episode anyway. Calm down. Your old standard Price Is Right will return the next day.

John! Long time, no see! How ya been, brother!

Anyway, you're almost right. It looks like that show will be the only time some prizes are offered in some slots. We do know of one playing for an SUV. A running assumption is some lesser slots might get a trip. Who knows what Richards and company have up their sleeve.

This show is going down the tube FAST...

Oh, please. People have been saying that since some guy born in Darrington retired.

2013. Price Season 41. Emmy won. Ratings up. Somebody's doing something right. So what if they play PL!NKO! (that's how I spell it) six times (with some one-time modifications) in one celebratory one-off show during PS42's opening week?

This is the kind of stuff Barker didn't do because it wasn't in his DNA. So what? He's retired. Let it go.

(... and did I also mention they're introducing a World Premiere Pricing Game on the PS42 opener?)

And on that all-Plinko episode, we could be seeing up to $300,000 being won!

By the way...on the same day Plinko debuted, over on NBC came the debuts of Sale of the Century and the 13-weekers Hit Man and Just Men! (Betty White's only game show she hosted)

As for the new pricing game they're debuting in Season 42? Please don't drop any hints though just recently, Check Game got a new makeover after a four-year hiatus.

Betty received her first ever Emmy from that hosting gig (even is the show was post-mortem) .
Despite all of the haters in this thread, Plinko has been a fan favorite since it's debut.
I like the stunts TPIR has pulled ever since Bob retired.

None of these things would have ever occurred under the Bob Barker reign.
Unless it had a Primetime $1,ooo,ooo Spectacular tagline.
That's about as far as out of the box Bob's show ever went.

The all Plinko episode will be a hit, I'll watch it.
It'll never happen but I'd like to see an all Cliffhangers episode or all Clock Game or all Range Game episode.
Those original pricing games need just as much love.

I don't know if Barker would have ever done a Plinko-only episode. Or all-Cliffhangers. Like Robnoxious said, he only did the regular show, the $1,000,000 spectaculars, the prime-time specials, but nothing too out of the ordinary (like May's kids episode...)

No you won't. Not even close. More likely you'll see people walk away with a couple thousand bucks maybe even nothing from the chips. Someone will probably hit a jackpot, though. It's the nature of the bell curve principle.

I think I heard rumors spreading around that on some Plinko games, the $10,000 wedge will be replaced by a vacation, or car wedge...

I'm pretty sure that's the definition of "could"...

But "could" isn't even the reality in PL!NKO!. Just getting a $10,000 winner is a struggle. More often than not, the total winnings are closer to $5000 and less. So there's no reason to even suggest they "could" give away "up to" $300K. Not happening.

I watched in Drew's 1st season (36), when that girl on the Christmas Day episode won $30,100 and that was a record. I'd LOVE to see $50,000 but that's probably not happening, and the odds are probably 1 in zillions...

An all Range Game episode will never happen, for you see, once the range finder is stopped, it cannot be started again for 37 hours. ;D

Didn't Drew stop doing that line after flubbing his first attempt?

Yeah...but I still would like to believe Bob was right ;D
