Trey Cooler new PD/morning dude for Qantum's Gator in MB

...however, plans are already in the works to announce his departure for a larger market within 72 hours.

Ok, that's a Roper dig.

After spinning his wheels at the largely ineffectual WRDU in Raleigh, vainly trying to scrape a few shares from market leader 'QDR, Trey's back in South Carolina. Let's see if he remembers how to be a creative PD instead of the caretaker jobs he held in Charleston and Raleigh.

Somebody has to say it.. ROPER SCREWED UP!! This is the gig of a lifetime, man. Quantum from what I hear is a great place to be.

And uhh... Don't you mean Greensboro and Raliegh? He was pretty active in Charleston..

Trey will do great things in MB.

does anybody know when this guy is gonna start? because it was announced that we gonna start yesterday but from what i could understand from some friends of mine in the myrtle beach area, korby ray is still alone.

Is there anything Roper doesn't screw up?

His stations in Greenwood/Saluda are quite a trip to listen to sometimes.... firing off local lienrs at incredibly low levels, one of the AMs not powering down, etc

does anybody know how roper is doing in greensboro? i heard that they pulled some type of stunt to make it look like, he was gonna get suspended like a week or so ago.

From what Trey told me he's starting Monday, Nov 17 on-air. I'm pretty sure he's been working at The Gator this week, but just polishing things up. I won't get into any major details on here but he's got tons of good ideas for the station. He should be a great fit.

As for WRDU in Raleigh... It's a great station with a lot of great people, but had some growing pains. I think it's starting to get over the hump now. I certainly enjoy doing my little weekend gig there..... haha
