Tri-State Public Communications, Inc granted CP for 91.9 FM NC in Sharon CT

Tri-State Public Communications received word from the FCC this morning (December 18) that our construction permit for 91.9 FM in Sharon, CT has been granted!

We are getting all tests, etc in line, and will be applying to the FCC by later this week for permission to begin testing and low power operation tests. With any luck, and a little good weather, we should be up and running by the middle to end of January at the latest!

An agreement with Will Power radio, owners of the call letters WHDD, has been reached, that will enable the new FM to be called WHDD FM! Both Will and Barbara Stanley have been very cooperative with Tri-State in this process, and are impressive broadcasters offering help to a fledgling non-comm radio station.

We may be small, but we expect to have a very active, local, loyal listening base and programming base!

Does this mean you will simulcast on AM 1020 during the day or is Will Power going to run it again?

It will be seperate programming. Tri-State Public Communications will continue to LMA the AM, and have the FM on-air hopefuly by the mid to end of January.

Will the new Power 91.9 be streaming when the station goes on the air in January and does the station plan on streaming later if not for the first broadcast ?
