Trump Moves To Have Final Say On All FCC Decision-Making

The Daily Mail says Trump banished Zelensky from the White House after a tense argument. And, he's not welcome back until he's ready for peace on Trump's terms. He accused Zelensky of being disrespectful. Trump says Zelensky is heading for World War III.

All broadcast on TV

Remember it’s not only the questions they ask him. The press pool also reports and relays to other outlets what he is saying and doing (as in when he’s on Air Force One). Will these outlets relay is he says or does something embarrassing?
Hey, TASS made it in today. Not the AP or Reuters. But sure…it was an “accident.”

Reactions: drt
Per Inside Radio, the Trump administration wants greater supervision of agency policy decisions.

"...the Federal Communications Commission will be under even tighter control by Trump under an executive order signed by the President, which says independent executive agencies, including the FCC, will be under more presidential “supervision and control.” That includes a requirement that the FCC submit all draft regulatory actions for approval before they are made official with publication in the Federal Register."

And among the reactions is this: "Free Press Co-CEO Craig Aaron says Trump’s executive order is a “blatant abuse of executive power” and Congress created the independent federal agencies so that they would be free from undue interference and influence by any single administration or political party."
Ridiculous.. Ukrainian Radio ain't happening eh..

Watch Fox News and of course it's a different story.

Absolutely. Brett Baier interviewed Zelenskyy today and told him he embarrassed his country.

The idea of the US siding with Ukraine is not what Fox News viewers want. Their viewers already voted for who they want to win.

To clarify what happened yesterday, because we've been talking about pool coverage: This was a pool story. Not open to the full press corps. There's not enough room in the oval for the full white house press. Chosen media members were brought into the oval office for what is usually just a photo op. Something the TV stations can use for what is called "B-roll," video of the people chatting. There usually aren't questions asked during these things. But someone shouted a question at the president about trusting the Russians. The president said he trusts the Russians, Zelenskyy says he doesn't. That's what set the whole thing off. The meeting was over, lunch was canceled, the mineral deal signing didn't happen, and Zelenskyy was told to leave. All during the pool media photo op. Shared with the world press. As the president said at the end, "This is great TV." And the media pool was ushered out.

Early in the photo op a conservative commentator in the room said something to Zelenskyy about his clothing. He wasn't wearing a suit & tie. He was dressed the way he's dressed since the start of the invasion. Apparently that was seen as a lack of respect for the oval office. Someone should tell Elon about this dress code, because he wears his "Tech Support" t-shirt and maga baseball cap.

TASS got into this event, supposedly uninvited, but.....

One might ask how they got into what is supposed to be a secure area:

“TASS was not on the approved list of media for today’s pool,” a White House official told CNN in a statement. “As soon as it came to the attention of press office staff that he was in the Oval, he was escorted out by the Press Secretary.”

Of course, neither the AP nor Reuters were allowed to be there.

Now a Fox News correspondent responds to the issue about the White House outright blocking AP, Reuters and HuffPost at Oval office meetings. Yes the first amendment is at play here. Let's hope Trump himself does not call for a Fox News Correspondent to get fired like what we seen in the past when Neil Cavuto was at Fox News and the network aired aired a segment Trump does not like.

And that was what made it kind of curious before knowing the s—tshow had taken place when ABC abruptly went to a special report (local news being interrupted here) talking about a meeting in the Oval Office. That unusually perfunctory posing, certainly not “special report” worthy in 99% of cases. And then they quickly jumped to to the footage…and holy hell did that make for some interesting and terrifying lunchtime TV viewing.

Correct, I probably should have said that this wasn't fed out live. The pool recorded it and then fed it out. So the anchors knew what had happened by the time it was shown.
