Trying to track down friends/records of BOB MEHL - 1960-1970's So. Cal D.J.

Hi. I am trying to track down recordings or friends of my dad, Bob Mehl. He was a D.J. in the 1960's and 1970's at KNBA in Vallejo (1963), KOWN Escondido (1966) and KREO/KRCQ Indio (1970-1982). He passed away in 1983. I have a few old recordings including an interview with billy graham in 1966 and some cool Marine Corps tributes if anyone is interested.

I'm trying hard to find details on him and any help/info/recordings/stories are appreciated.

Thanks so much,

Loren Mehl

I think this is so cool you are looking for history of your dad. I can't help as I never knew or wirked with him.

Just wanted to say 'good luck' in your search.

P.S. I also never WORKED with him. Although I once heard WIRK.

Damn spell-checker. :-\

Hey Loren,

Here's a couple suggestions - send an email to Don Barrett of laradio.com. He will probably either write a notice for his website, or at least print your letter in his email section -
[email protected].
I have seen these kinds of notices before on his website.

Also, since you mentioned Escondido - I know there is a San Diego radio website, similar to laradio.com - I don't know the URL, but you could probably google it
