Turner Relaunching Boomerang as All-Animated Network for Kids, Families

I have to admit, Cartoon Network with Adult Swim has gotten off track with all the human shows on it now...(cant stand any of them)..same thing with SyFy..they dont show SCIENCE fiction which was the original intention...it shows gore and horror movies..which has nothing to do with Sci Fi...would love to see a real Science Fiction channel again...SyFy lost me as a fan years ago.

Cable networks never stick with their original formats. MTV hasn't played music videos in years, Cartoon Network doesn't show cartoons, American Movie Classics is mainly recent movies and new series (whatever did become of Bob Dorian, anyhow?) and Arts & Entertainment and The Learning Channel grunt out "reality" freak shows by the ton. So what else is new? Good luck to the "new" Boomerang. (Give me Woody Woodpecker and Jana of the Jungle and I'll be happy...:) )

I just hope they keep plenty Tom and Jerry and Looney Tunes. Unfortunately Boomerang is in a higher priced package than I have through Charter. Cartoon Network as it is now is only good in the mornings when Tom and Jerry and Looney Tunes are on. My daughter likes some shows during the other times, but to me there's very little I want to see on CN any other time.

I've got enough Bob Dorian and 1980s/90s AMC for two days straight, probably. Mostly due to the fact I acquired a boatload of VHS tapes from eBay with AMC movies.
I've also got loads of the A&E Mysteries like A Touch of Frost and Sherlock Holmes on VHS from the late 1990s. Way before Storage Wars or even Dog the Bounty Hunter. Not only that but I have Woody Allen's Zelig taped from A&E over 20 years ago, with ads and promos. That's back when it meant Arts and Entertainment.
