How did WB get Mayberry RFD when Vilecom owns the rights to Andy Griffith?

Interesting question, and I wish I knew the answer. I believe
at one time Metromedia held the syndication rights to Mayberry RFD.

> In the early 90's,Mayberry RFD was on TNT in reruns and at the beginning they showed the Warner Brothers emblem. It could be that it was syndicated by Metromedia at first then Lorimar Telepictures-Warner Brothers bought out the reruns and as I recall in some episodes the Telepictures emblem was shown at the end.
