"Two And A Half Men" Production Halted After Sheen Goes Off On Alex Jones Show

Re: "Two And A Half Men" Production Halted After Sheen Goes Off On Alex Jones Show

Bring in Ted McGinley. He can save any flailing show.

LOL :D He is funny. I loved him on Married with Children living off of Marcy and his interactions with Al and his friends at the Nudie Bar. Personally it's time to end the show anyway. It had a long run

I'm just amazed that Alex Jones is being treated like any other syndicated radio host in all this.

Re: "Two And A Half Men" Production Halted After Sheen Goes Off On Alex Jones Show

Why in the world did Charlie Sheen choose that nut case Alex Jones' show to put 2 1/2 men out of its misery? How much national coverage does Jones get with his new world order conspiracy of the week show? I only hear him on WWCR shortwave and he's on KLBJ 590AM in Austin, TX on late Sunday afternoon. I only monitor his semi-psychotic rantings occasionally, because once you've heard one show, the rest are all the same. Is Sheen one of "those" people who are devoted minions of Jones? If so, that would explain quite a bit.

Unless the producers decide how to go around the character of Charlie Harper and see how Jon Cryer and Angus Jones carries the show alone without Charlie Sheen, I'm guessing the doors of cancellation may be closing in on this show. Sheen's rant may have just about done it anyways.

At least Angus Jones won't have to worry about money or getting another job the rest of his life because the show made plenty of money for him reportedly around 50 million dollars worth if I'm not mistaken.

I also wonder--could "Two and a Half Men" continue for next season, but CBS and the producers pull a "Valerie" on Sheen by removing his character from the show (reminiscent of what happened with Valerie Harper's removal from what later became "The Hogan Family" in 1987).

You know - that's actually a great idea. Just bring in McGinley as Charlie Harper, and not address it at all in the plot at all - just a old fashioned cast replacement like the soaps used to do.

It might fall flat, but it would create a lot of buzz for a few episodes, and probably increase the ratings, if anything.

Only possible drawback - McGinley is about 8 years older than Sheen.

Or they can just do like the producers did with Suzanne Somers after she was basically demoted and left Three's Company after wanting more money and have Jon Cryer talk to Charlie Sheen via telephone. They can also easily expand Conchata Ferrell's character and/or add one of Charlie Harper's ex-girlfriends to the mix. The possibilities are endless when or if Charlie Sheen leaves the show or gets fired.

They could, but would it work. Most of the time it doesn't come off well, at best they can usually squeeze out one last season.

But CBS might do it, there's really not a strong show to take over the 8pm (9pm EST) slot on Monday, other than "The Big Bang Theory," which has allowed CBS to get a hold into another night.

And let's not forget the other major drawback: it's Ted McGinley.

Sheen is a 9/11 Truther.

In fact, if I heard correctly, Sheen has been on with Alex Jones to talk 9/11 before.
They were portrayed as "good friends" on the news I saw.
I guess it was also easier to get through to Alex Jones than to Rush, since it wasn't Open Line Friday, or Hannity, since he wasn't going to be on Fox that night, or Savage, because Savage is pre-recorded now, or any others, for various reasons. :)

I hope the show will just end. Sick of hearing about Sheen already.

I have never seen a single episode of the show, because I can't stand Charlie Sheen.

Michael J Fox is the obvious choice to replace Sheen :)

I actually heard about the last half of the Jones show with Sheen, and it sounded like Sheen had talked to Jones before. I was a little surprised to hear Sheen publicly talk about CBS in that matter, but figured Jones' show is so obscure, who would notice.

The only reason I was listening was because I recently got a new internet radio and was playing with it. I may have heard Jones a couple of times on WWCR, I've never seen "Two And A Half Men."

Are you kidding? Charlie Sheen is on the radar for all the gossip machines (TMZ. etc.) Every move he makes in public is closely watched, even more so if it's broadcast over the airwaves. If he said something outrageous on a local program on the lowest rated station in Fargo North Dakota, it would be re-broadcasted everywhere in a matter of hours.
