even if sheen showed up capable of working who knows how many problems he caused on the set.i am not saying that is the case but it is a possibility to consitter.

I'd thought about that as well but I've never read or seen anybody say or even intimate that Sheen caused problems on set. In fact, even after his very public missteps he has gone back to work as scheduled (with perhaps one short trip to rehab) and done his job.

It's also somewhat interesting that with one exception no one on "2 1/2" has made any sort of public statement about anything. 'Berta' was interviewed as she left a restaurant some weeks ago but it was all fluff stuff - nothing about the problems with Charlie.

Today on Fox-10's Morning Show here in Phoenix the hosts interviewed a guest who was part of the Hollywood publicity/management world for a decade before opening his own biz here. He stated several interesting points:

3. As for "2 1/2" he opined it is probably over as Sheen now cannot be bonded and without a performance bond no production company will hire him.

I thought you had to fail a drug test to lose your bond?

I don't know the particulars of bonding actors but I would imagine it would be very difficult to obtain a bond with a record of absence, legal troubles and moral issues (for certain producers). The bond is basically an insurance policy so that the production company can be compensated for expenses incurred if an actor cannot perform for any reason. Obviously the bonding company isn't going to issue a bond if an actor has a history of malfeasance. Charlie seems to have gone down the Lindsay Lohan road and will likely be kicked to the curb as she is/was.

i had a mind picture of charlie sheen on an interview show doing one of his rants and martin sheen coming on camera, dragging charlie off set by the ear saying things like "you know i raised you better then that.......".

Martin HAS been on the show, but I've already forgotten who he played. I think Charlie's father is dead.

Martin HAS been on the show, but I've already forgotten who he played. I think Charlie's father is dead.

Martin played Rose's father and in the episode moved into (and squatted in) Evelyn's (Charlie & Alan's mother) house. Rose talked him out in the end.

According to the web Martin (Ramón Gerardo Antonio Estévez) still walks among us.
