Two San Antonio News Talent to leave the market

https://www.ftvlive.com/sqsp-test/2017/3/16/two-out-the-door-in-san-antonio

One is Katie Vossler she will head to Tyler, Texas for a gig there and KENS reporter MaryAnn Martinez will head to Fox 11 Los Angeles

"Almost 20 years ago, I was a young intern and a great man told me I should consider a career in television. (Meteorologist) Mark Scirto KLTV has been my mentor - and my friend - ever since. I'm so excited and honored to start working with Mark, Cedric, Jessica and the whole KLTV news team," her post read.
Though Tyler is several steps down in terms of market size from San Antonio (No. 108 to No. 31, respectively), the pluses of being near family and working with her beloved mentor at the city's No. 1 station more than make up for that, she said in a live Facebook video.
Meanwhile, driven and easy-on-the-eyes KENS reporter MaryAnn Martinez waves goodbye to her station of more than two years this week to jump to the country's No. 2 market: Los Angeles.
Starting Tuesday, she'll report the news on Fox affiliate KTTV.

The Texas native and Baylor University alumna said her love has always been reporting, and she's hopped all over the country to provide the hard-hitting stories she specializes in. Past markets have included her home city of El Paso, Las Vegas, San Diego and Miami.
"My big thing is policing the police and holding the powerful accountable," said KENS' lead nightside reporter.
She's thrilled to be going to a much larger television market. "It's definitely going to be an adventure," she said. Still, it's tough leaving San Antonio, she added.

One thing she won't leave behind is her support of our illustrious basketball team - even in Clippers and Lakers country.
"I'm from Texas," Martinez said. "Always going to be the Spurs.

Wow. How often do you see an anchor leave a market the size of San Antonio...for Tyler? Great news for east Texas, as Katie Vossler is a consummate pro. She'll bring experience and a great delivery to the KLTV desk.

Nice job, RadioPatrol. Now you're on top of your game.
