FYI vo1001, going by my fmscan.org database;

549 kHz is probably Russia's Radio Mayak you'd be hearing, as they have a 500 and a 600 kW transmitter on that frequency (the Ukrainians have a couple of transmitters on 549, running UR 2 programming, but at much lower power than Mayak).

936 kHz carries UR 1 Programming, from their 100 kW transmitter, between 1700 - 2200 UTC, while the 40 kW transmitter on 972 kHz (UR 1), is also listed as closing out at 2200 UTC.

Happy hunting and keep us updated from 'the Rock'. 8)

vo1001, I am wondering if you have an outside shot at Alaska's KICY 850.....they heavily beam into Siberia at night, and you might catch it over the Pole. They stream at www.kicy.org
