The University of the Pacific is selling its commercial-free radio station to a Sacramento-based public radio group for an undisclosed amount, the school said.
KUOP-FM, 91.3, has been affiliated with Pacific since it went on the air 60 years ago as the first noncommercial, educational radio station in California. Its call letters were changed from KCVN to KUOP in 1964.
