Univision Actually Got More Young Adults In Prime-Time From June 27th-July 3rd Than Any English-Language Network

Granted, it was during a week where TV viewing levels are among the lowest of the year, and a week where most prime-time broadcast-network television programming was in reruns, but Univision actually attracted more young adults (between 18 and 34 years of age) in prime-time for the week of June 27th-July 3rd, according to Nielsen Media Research.

According to this story from the Dallas Morning News (registration may be required), Univision was broadcasting two highly-touted Spanish-language telenovelas (likely produced in Mexico) in prime-time that week.

Also of note: The highest-rated basic-cable network in prime-time among adults between 18 and 34 that same week was not MTV, ESPN, or TNT, but BET. In fact, BET attracted more adults between 18 and 34 that week than UPN or the WB.
