I can remember that CBS used to carry parts of different parades including Macy's. I think I can remember Philadelphia, Detroit, and Toronto (at Canadian Thanksgiving?), and also Hawaii (Possibly taped earlier?) and Nashville (When Opryland theme park existed) at times. Hasn't it only been in recent years that CBS went to carrying only Macy's? I know that they don't use Macy's name in their broadcast, because I guess NBC has exclusive rights to that. Although I did see times when the Macy's name was on floats or balloons.
Between the two, I'd rather watch CBS's coverage. Although they have breaks with singers performing from a studio it's usually pop, rock, or country, rather than all the Broadway stuff that NBC always pushes and are the cause of the breaks further down the line in the first place.
