Upcoming FM DX Season: Reception Reports For Laramie, WY Stations

Not only am I gearing up for FM DX season myself, I'm eager to answer reception reports for anyone who logs any of our Laramie, WY stations over the air during tropo or eskip. My station owner who isnt as big of a nerd as me still finds this interesting to some extent and comes to me when we have atmospheric peculiarities going on. I get almost as excited when someone logs one of our stations as I did when I heard a 100 Watt LPFM from 800 some odd miles away last time I lived in Laramie.

KLMI 106.1 (50KW C2), KIMX 104.5 (15KW C2), KRQU 98.7(110 Watt Class A) and K244FN 96.7 (250 Watts)

KLMI has dynamic RDS with changing info.. song title/artist data, station slogans and info on alerts/watchers/warnings when the EAS goes off. KIMX has RDS but it only displays the station name. K244FN and KRQU don't have RDS... yet.

If anyone happens to log the AM, on 1210 which is only running 10 watts right now, 24/7, I'd be gobsmacked

If you log one of the Wolf Creek Broadcasting Stations, I want a picture of the RDS where applicable and a short video or audio clip recording of what you hear/saw. Links to uploaded audio is ok.

Keep it short and sweet. Tell me where you are, what radio and antenna you use along with the time/date of your reception and what you heard. Email it to [email protected]

We don't have QSL cards but I'll confirm reports as timely as I'm able. I'm the news guy for the stations, doing the 7am, noon and 5pm news, community interviews, I assist in all sorts of operational matters and host the PM Drive show for 106.1 (The later having been going on for 7 1/2 years.. one of the best variety formatted stations out there!)

The 96.7 translator is easily the best - and only - option for a reception report from you. Locals block the others. I'll try my best! Maybe when KCGY-95.1 is raging strong.
