And by this, I mean Kwaito music from South Africa.... Its a very powerful form of music,,, some of it is the standard hip Hop beat just like 2 pac,,, and other of it uses a standard 4x4 beat like Amaerican and European house Music,,,, but this music is so much more moving than U.S Hip Hop or House Music,,,, Unlike American music it doesnt glamorize violence or disrespect to woman, and unlike US house Music, its alot more street and edgy sounding and not so vannilla... Im a white guy, but have always been a fan of black music in general.. Hip Hop,,, R&B,,,,,House,,,,, etc.... Soul... Blues,,, and so much more... But go to youtube and first type in... Zola-Dont Cry .... He is like the biggest superstar in South Africa,, and even many other african countries as well,, he is also a big role model for schools and kids, and does PSAs to prevent violence, any video from Zola is good... But also look up a song called Manga Manga Bussiness.. The artist name slips my mind.... Just go to youtube and type in kwaito,, you will find alot of gems.... I thought about posting this on this dance board,,, but i know guys like larajim and Rapking will check these out and probably appreciate them, and im here to help you guys and bring the Hip Hop and Dance community together.... but the dance community for the most part wont aacept much street beat Urban Material without remixing the heck out of it, but you guys last summer embraced Ne Yo,,, Chric Brown, and Rhianna with their Dance hits and that is sooooo totally cool of you.. I may be a House-Dance fan, but you guys know I l9ove quality hip hop and a station that really surves the afro comunity,,,, not to say Rhythmics like B-96 Chicago are bad, or KPWR LA. or Power 96 MIAMI,,, but stations like A-towns 95.5 WBTS needs to either be more aggressive on new music and serve the black community,,, as well as do things for the white and latinos's,,, but dont be a Vanilla top 40 Hip Hop in disguise like Channel 95.5 Detroit. Back to my poin check the videos i mentioned, and many other good Kwaito Videos on Youtibe..... Remember some of it is like US Hip Hop beats, and some of it is House beats.... But use an open mind... I know the dance crowd will ignore me,,,, but dont you think a 2 hr or so Specialty show with this music could work,, and maybe a few in regular playlist. The real ghettos are in Africa,,,, not in U.S or Europe....
