URBan Radio stations in Florence all off the air

A friend told me that all the URBan Radio Stations in Florence (WMSR, WLAY, WMXV and WVNA) are all off the air. They failed to pay the power bill and the power company cut them off. Oops!

I'd heard they were in some financial difficulties, but that's pretty dire.

Flynn stepped up and WWFA sponsored the 4th of July events in the place of the URBan cluster, which was a nice move.

On the plus side, it'll be good for DXing for a bit with all these stations off the air.
 
I don't know what's more surprising: The fact that URB didn't pay their electric bill or that URB is even still around in the first place.
 
Tell us more about what may have motivated Flynn to pay for the 4th events.
Ive always read Flynn was run on the cheap.

Likely there were profitable sponsorships involved.
