US Open men's tennis final to be played on Monday, yet again.

**********SPOILER ALERT************

Andy Murray, finally, won the US Open, at just past 9PM ET/6PM PT. I bet news anchors all over the West Coast are pissed by now with CBS...

I wonder if next year if syndicated talk shows (Ellen, Dr. Phil, etc.) will move their premiers to Tuesday to allow for a rain delayed US Open final or simply delay them until the next Monday? Wheel and Jeopardy have premiers next Monday. (9/17)

Dr Phil is a CBS produced show so they just delayed it a day.
Ellen is a NBC produced show and is only on a few CBS affiliates. Here in Minneapolis her MOnday show is tomorrow at 4 and the Tuesday show is at 12:37AM Wednesday

WCCO got raked across the coals because there was NOTHING on their site nor a scroll.....the only spot was on facebook

FYI, Ellen is a Warner Bros. distributed, Telepictures-produced show.

WKRC in Cincinnati and WJZ in Baltimore are both CBS affiliates who are scheduled to simulcast tonight's ESPN MNF game between the Bengals and Ravens (already in progress). I assume that they've shifted US Open coverage to a digital subchannel or elsewhere?

WKRC operates a CW-affiliate subchannel (Cincy is the biggest market without a CW affiliation on a standalone signal), and of course WJZ is a CBS O&O; WUSA Washington is near-by, and depending other locations, other viewers could get either KYW Philadelphia (to the northeast) or WBOC Salisbury (to the southeast).

KYW-TV aired the match in full. They didn't even bother to put their 5-6:30 PM newscasts on their sister station WPSG-TV 57.

I haven't read the entire thread yet, but my TiVo was set to tape "2 Broke Girls" (Probably a rerun I had seen) and all I got was tennis. I taped "Mike and Molly" (if the correct episode was to air I've seen it) and got "How I Met Your Mother".

CBS Sports went "forever" after the end of the match and didn't sign off until almost
9:30 ET/6:30 PT. By that time they were promo-ing prime time as being the four
sticoms normally scheduled 8-10 ET, so they must have run about 30 min. late in
ET/CT. Book 'em Danno got pre-empted...except KPHO-TV Phoenix did run 5-0 in
it's normal 9 PM PT slot, after the sitcoms 7-9 PT. I can't figure out how they got a feed
of the 5-0 rerun--maybe on an alternate transponder at approx. 8:30.

Did left coast stations run the original schedule--including 5-0--from 8-11 PT?
