USA: Jailed Talk Host and Filmmaker on Week Five of Hunger Strike

I'd like to introduce you to Sam Dodson, filmmaker at ObscuredTruth.com and one of the hosts of Free Talk Live.

Sam was arrested and jailed on April 13th because he dared exercise his supposed freedom of the press and record video in a public court lobby. For exercising his alleged right to remain silent and not give his legal name, the court has ordered him held indefinitely without trial.

All this is happening here in the US, and has received virtually no mainstream media coverage thus far. Sam is also on a hunger strike.

Sam is now starting his fifth week behind bars and is blogging at http://freekeene.com (You can also view video and get audio of the arrest.)

Collection of useful info:
http://freesamdodson.com

Please contact me if you'd like to book Sam or myself for an interview. (If you want Sam, you will have to pay the outrageous collect call fees to receive a call from a jail.)

I hate guys like this.

Too bad they didn't tase him and put it up on youtube.

Translation:

"I hate people who stand up for freedom. Satisfy my thirst for violence and punish him, almighty state!"

Anyway, to those on this forum who care about the freedom of the press - thank you for reading.

Actual translation:

I hate people who are self-centered publicity hounds. If he was tased and it was put up on youtube, he's probably be THRILLED.

So he's a publicity hound because he was recording video in a public place? I think it's relevant to point out that if he wasn't arrested for it, he'd have gotten no publicity. Perhaps you should be angry at the government aggressors instead of Sam.

How do we know this is the truth. Since Free Talk Live hires felons, and I've have an policy that Talk Radio shows that have felons, or junkies hosting then I ignore them. See Rush and Glenn Beck and FTL.

Now what happen to Amy Goodman during the RNC 2008 convention was real.

Free Talk Live employs no one, but I see what you're getting at. You're using a convenient excuse to avoid considering us as equals to you, and so therefore what is being done to Sam (with your money) doesn't matter to you.

It's true that both of FTL's main hosts and a couple of our rotating cohosts have been behind bars. (Sam still is. Now in his 7th week.) I think Mark is the only "felon", but that was two decades ago. He made a mistake and has turned his life around. I don't suppose you're the same person today as you were when you were 18, are you?

Cast the first stone much, willcail? I may have consumed a lot of marijuana in my time as has my lady Julia, but junkies we're not. I don't suppose you've ever altered your consciousness with alcohol, have you? Of course, if you have you can still get off on thinking you're better because "it's legal".

I'm glad you at least see some of what's happening clearly, but what if you found out Amy Goodman alters her consciousness with "illegal" products as well? Would you stop caring? Would she be less of a person?

Update on Sam for those watching:

Last week he did begin eating again. It was Sunday morning an he was meditating about the pains he was feeling in his chest. It was during this meditation that a corrections officer walked in a placed the newspaper down in front of him. Sam's story had made the front page of the local paper. It was at this time he decided to begin eating.

He is still behind bars and into his seventh week. Yesterday he got mainstream media coverage on FOX News' "Freedom Watch" with judge Andrew Napolitano. Here's the segment:

FTL Ian,

Since the use of recreational marijuana is illegal in all fifty states, US territories, and DC that you're violating the law. I never consume alcohol as well. I do support legalizing marijuana, but until then I will continue supporting the current drug laws. Is the "war on Drugs" is a waste of time and money? Yes. Until they can be change legally, I will continue to support all current laws.

I believe in law and order I was raised this way. Somali is the perfect libertarian society.

Guess you'd have gone to the back of the bus, and put some jews in an oven then, hmm? Those were laws too.
