Utica one of the markets Clear Channel will sell

In their SEC filing, Utica Clear Channel Stations are going to be spun off. Add to that their TV Properties (including Syracuse channel 9, WSYR) and things could get interersting.
 
Package Deal?

With CC dumping Utica, Binghamton, and Syracuse TV, you have to wonder if they won't just get out of upstate NY altogether. The economy isn't helping their bottom line as much as they'd like, and they might be able to put a regional package together that would allow them to grab a serious chunk of cash for investment in more lucrative markets.

If they don't sell, expect another round of belt-tightening at CC Syracuse. Bean counters will be even more firmly in charge once the sale goes through.
