Well, I must admit that WWVA has some pretty good weekend mixshows. It's a bit odd because... "everyone" knows the regular playlist is peculiar, and sometimes it makes you wonder if people are really serious about and believe in this station for the long run. However, they are doing other things like upgrading logo's, adding more live club broadcasts... etc. So, it's rather difficult to determine what really is going on. They chose to put the station on two weak signals instead of a full one, but most of the employees there are from the former WBTS station, which lasted about 10 years (and if they weren't serious about the station, then they would've never lasted that long the first time around).
So.. I really don't know what to think!
I post this in the dance section because the station gets very electro/dance friendly when they mix, and my whole purpose of strongly wanting a rhythmic or rhythmic lean top 40 is mainly for the weekend mixshow content that is available. I'd never go as far as to go completely crazy and suggest a dance station and "get myself killed". Anyway, let me just be thankful for what I have to look forward to once I get there. Maybe this new station is just another WBTS - but on a much weaker signal, BUT at least it seems like they are adding mixes, rather than TAKING AWAY ALL the mixes.
Why do I want mixes? So I can hear all the hits that remain underground to Atlanta rhythmic radio, like "we no speak americano" by Yolanda Be Cool, "Yeah 3x" by Chris Brown, "Stereo love" by Edward Maya, "Hey baby (drop it on the floor)" - Pitbull ft T-PAIN and.... well, you get the point.
