I wouldn't call him out of touch...lots of money has been made by industries who have successfully marketed to this generation, and will continue to. It's only natural to target a large, potentially profitable demographic as opposed to a much smaller, less-affluent one.

This is not to say that it isn't about time the now approaching middle age Gen X'ers aren't overdue for some attention.
