Verizon Fios TV in New Jersey starts this week (December 19th)

Good News New Jersey, starting this week you now have more choices for television. As reported in Saturday, December 16th's Star Ledger begining this Tuesday, December 19th Verizon will offer it's Fios TV service in nine counties including Bergen, Passaic, and Morris in northern New Jersey, Middlesex, Somerset, and Monmouth in central New Jersey, and Camden, Mercer, and parts of Burlington counties in south Jersey. You now have a choice other than Comcast or Cablevision. More channels for less money and the NFL network in time for Rutgers fans to see the Bowl game after Christmas. Zap2it.com has a channel lineup for certain areas already if you enter your zip code and I'm guessing on the Fios TV website the NY market will follow the NY Lineup and South Jersey / Philadelphia market will be the same as the PA channel lineup. No word yet if the central counties like Mercer, Monmouth, Ocean, and Middlesex will get both New York and Philadelphia locals like they do on cable but Verizon TV in Maryland carries both Baltimore and Washington DC local channels so its a good bet they will do the same thing in New Jersey offering both NY and Philly. Ocean County residents should be happy with this news after what Comcast pulled on them last month droping NBC 10 and getting all the negitive press in the papers and from the goverment. Ocean County is not part of the launch this week but is scheduled to have the service Spring 07.

Comments? Anyone gonna switch from Cablevision or Comcast to Verizon? Anyone have more info?
HD lineup information?

I found the most up to date Verizon Fios TV channel line-up on zap2it.com enter zip code: 07054 for the Northern New Jersey / NY DMA channel lineup. This is more up to date than the verizon website because I see they added many new channels in sports and news sections.

There are a lot of channels in there, including a bunch I've never even heard of. The ordering of some channels makes no sense though, particularly with the HD stuff.
