Very Sad New about the passing of Kidd Kraddick

It now makes me think what will WBHT do for mornings now? Will they go out and hire new people for a local morning show or will they put Elvis Duran on?

Since WBHT is a Cumulus station, it is highly unlikely that they would hire anybody for morning drive. I'm sure that they will either pick a syndicated morning show from the stable of canned Cumulus programming or have someone voicetrack mornings from another market.

"Kidd Kraddick in the Morning" started on WBHT in the Citadel days, when GM Bill Palmeri fired Jenn Starr in a cost-cutting move. Board operator "Lazy E" did an excellent job of taking an out of market, out of region syndicated show with a distinct Southwestern flavor and making it sound local. And it gave 'KRZ a run for its money. Not bad for a little Class A station with a whopping 570 watts TPO!

Elvis Duran is with rival Clear Channel.
