Victorville's KVFG will not be streaming their Christmas music online. :(

i was pissed, to say the least, when I called Harvey Wells, the CBS-Riverside market manager, and asked if they would stream their Christmas music online from KVFG, his answer quote "we dont have the resources", imagine CBS radio, of the biggest companies in the US, cannot afford to stream 1 of their stations online, WOW.

Probably because CBS is looking to put it on the block at some point...

At any rate, what will the signal flip to once their "Christmas 103" stunt is through?

If CBS has plans to put KVFG on the block sometime why would they be asking for sales people to apply for jobs? I see that ESPN is now on AM 910 KRAK and as I drive pass by there offices on Hesperia Rd I see on there entrance door they also have the logos of each stations on it. I saw ESPN logo and Playlist 92.7 even though Playlist is not owned by CBS Radio.

The Victor Valley market is as bad as the Florida Keyes or Grand Junction. There are 33 commercial and 18 non-commercial stations dividing up under $10 million in revenues. In fact, it is market 116 in population, but ranked 171st in revenue. Too many stations, not enough money.

So why would a small FM spend money so someone outside the market could hear their stream... something that does not benefit the station in any way at all?
