Since CNN's early days have been discussed here before, and someone asked about early cable TV video just this week, I think some of you will find this link pretty interesting (it made my day):

As you'll see, the site features the first hours of CNN's first day on the air -- June 1, 1980 -- all in .wma (Windows Media) format. I think it's probably best to download the clips by right-clicking on the links rather than trying to stream the video.

I can't claim credit for discovering this wonderful site, BTW; it was mentioned a few days ago in CNNFan.com's forums.

Thanks for the link; pretty scary music though going out to breaks. I guess that's 1980 though for ya.
